ERWAN

ORIGIN OF THE NAME ERWAN:

Pronunciation: er-ouan-n   -     Festivity: 19.5.

Saint: ERWAN is the Breton name of Yves, celebrated Saint (1253-1303) that was canonized in 1347. It was him ascribed the cult of other personages. Since 1334 the bishop of Tréguier stated that the clergymen should have replaced the devotion to St. Yves and St. Tudual with the one in favour of, perhaps, never existed unknown blessed souls. It is one of the reasons why Yves was translated into Breton language in different ways (see EOZEN, EWEN). A saint called Ervan is celebrated in Cornwallis.

Diminutives: ERWANIG (er-ouan-nik), WANIG (ouan-nik); feminine: ERWANA (er-ouan-na), ERWANEZ (er-ouan-nèss).

Etymology: It seems that there was a confusion among several names as EWEN, EWAN, EOZEN.

I came to this world in a village called Auray sited in the department of Morbihan in Brittany (France), where my mother was born too. Well, I am a little druid like Merlin the Wizard, and able to do a lot of magics. I think that my favourite one is waking up Massimo and Marylène in the deep night when they are sleeping and do not aspect it. I look forward to do this ahahahaahh good amusement for me.

Finally now you can see me, I could not let my parents and the other people wait for me no longer. I received many gifts and love signs from a lot of people. I would like to thank especially: Aunt Nathalie, Uncle Olivier, my Grandparents and Uncles, the Pointu Family, the colleagues of Mummy and Daddy (special thanks to Monica), The whole staff of the Hospital of Auray "Le Pratel".......and of course all the people that had me in their thoughts..........and  then the Netfriends.
